Pokersendung High Stakes Poker vor dem Aus
Steht die Pokersendung High Stakes Poker vor dem Aus? Das zumindest berichten mehrere Pokerblogs wie WickedChops oder auch Pokerati.
Ein Statement von GSN, dem produzierenden TV Sender von High Stakes Poker wurde nun online gestellt. Der Mitveranstalter A. J. Benza gab folgendes Kommentar ab:
“Far as Gabe and I know… the show isn’t coming back. Apparently… the network is going to go in a different direction and that aint good news for our show, especially since we skew a higher-aged audience.
Never mind that we’re the network’s No. 1 show. Still and all, no one calls us from the network to say squat. Only Kevin Bellincoff checks in periodically, but it just don’t seem like good news. If you ask me… They’re treating us like s***. All we ever did was make them a bunch of money.”
High Stakes Poker ist ein US-amerikanisches Fernsehformat des Senders GSN. In der Sendung traten bekannte Pokerspieler in einer Spielrunde gegeneinander an. Seit 2005 entstanden in vier Staffeln 59 Episoden zu je 40 Minuten Länge. Ältere Folgen kann man sich via Pokertube.com anschauen.
