For all who don't know who Shania is:
Think about Shania (or Yoda - prolly Yoda is better)
Yoda stands for balance - If you see Yoda at your table - you know - he's balanced - and everything he does - is.
But: don't fall in the trap of the "garden eden snake" Shania - or Yoda, they may sound cool - and it seems cool, but when you apply (=take the apple

) it to your game - you'll be balanced, and you won't profit - but your winnings will suffer (because you balance).
There is another - better - type you should follow, follow batman.
Batman is the Dark knight - and the Businessman - he got 2 personalities. (if you find some cool guy with more - be him !)
Let's talk about a simple preflop scenario:
we are in the big blind - villian opens from the button - sb folds.
Example one: villian will fold to 90% to our 3 bets - and doesn't adjust.
Yoda will say: Balance you need against him - so don't 3bet the shit out of him (cause you can't ballance it) - just 3bet as much as you can balance it.
Batman (Dark knight) will say: 3bet the hell out of him, bluff him EVERY time he opens - and don't balance at all - fuck off Yoda !
However, Batman also says: i will balance - but i won't balance vs him (more to that later)
Example two: villian will fold to 10% to our 3bets - and doesn't adjust.
Yoda will say: you gotta mix up your good hands with bluffs - so that your good hands will payed off.
Batman (Businessman) will say: you don't need to bluff 3bet against him - it's worthless.
The trick i use vs him is: i balance my 3bets between "non folders" and "everything folders".
So: while Yoda is perfectly balanced - i am the opposite - i am perfectly unbalanced - BUT others will think i'm ballanced (because of the stats ;D).
And thus - while Yoda is giving up ev vs both of them (ex 1: 3bets not enough - ex 2: 3bets to much) - i won't give up ev - and gain more money therefore.
BTW: it is also possible, that Batman=Yoda - and this is when Yodas play is the most ev play. (in higher games (=better opponents) - you need to be more and more Yoda - and less and less Yoda. In lower games Batman is pretty much ever the best way to go)
This obviously applys to every corner of the game - but pre i think it's the easiest way to explain.
So: stop thinking about Shania/Yoda - and start thinking about Batman - become more than one person - and your winrate will like it.
Conclusion: it isn't important if you are balanced or not - it is important if villian thinks if you are (he thinks Batman is balanced - but he isn't -
-> unbalanced =+++++++++++++ev)
Maybe to be continued .....
